Styling multiple rooms to reflect different phases of the family's life was both a blessing and an enjoyable challenge. I created mood boards to define the look and feel of each room and achieved sign-off on a quick turnaround. Working within a tight budget, I sourced props, dressed, and built the set in a real Cala Homes show home. Making the home appear as if it had been lived in for 20 years required creativity and attention to detail while adhering to brand guidelines and not damaging the show home. By strategically building flats to demonstrate a length of time (using painted and wallpapered) and incorporating subtle prop elements, we successfully conveyed the passage of time and the evolving story of the family.
